Background

The Historic Rivermill Cafe, situated in Mount Nathan, stands as a beacon of serenity in the Gold Coast hinterland. Recent operational challenges have prompted us to seek potential operational partnerships. As we move forward, we’re inspired by successful ventures like The Farm, but we aim to carve our niche, focusing on animal-centric experiences, especially with horses, set against our picturesque riverside backdrop.

Long-Term Vision

Our ambition for Historic Rivermill is to evolve it into a premier Eco-Entertainment Farm Retreat and Showground. Central to this transformation will be the introduction of a captivating horse show and the establishment of eco-friendly accommodations, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable tourism. We envision HistoricRivermill as the Gold Coast’s answer to The Farm, presenting a unique blend of entertainment, nature, and hospitality that ensures memorable experiences for every visitor.

Similar to “The Farm,” we foresee multiple businesses co-existing on the same site, with the cafe-restaurant being the core attraction. This could include ventures like horse therapy, a retail wine shop, eco lodgings, and horse shows.

Collaboration Opportunities

You have two collaboration opportunities: Cafe Operator or Exclusive Branding Partner. The Cafe Operator, previously attracting 120,000 visitors annually before recent mismanagement, will own and run the cafe under the Historic RiverMill brand. The Exclusive Branding Partner will oversee RiverMill's digital footprint, optimizing marketing and sales for maximum revenue and market penetration, benefiting from shared online earnings. Submit an EOI for either or both roles; selection will hinge on your expertise.

Integrated Partnership Model or Rental Model

Our proposed model involves a stakeholders’ board for collaborative decision-making, profit-sharing, and a service level agreement. This model aims for shared growth, coordination for optimal visitor experience, and ensuring businesses on site maintain a high standard. Alternatively, we recognize the more prevalent rental model. We’re open to both and seek your preference.
